| Traditional art is my favorite type of art, and I love experimenting with different types of media. This piece uses color pencils, watercolor, and egg shells. Egg shells and watercolor produce and wonderful effect when the watercolor dries, which is what makes this piece unique. The concept of this piece stems from the word "egg." It was an assignment from my AP Art teacher, and I immediately thought about birth and pregnancy. Two people, a male and a female, give birth to a child, a fetus which grows from an egg. This piece has a male and female hand breaking an egg open to produce a child. |
